As a self-appointed downtown girl(gal), I've had the good fortune to meet most of the merchants who own and operate businesses between Front & Pinnacle Streets.
The love and devotion they have for their stores/services is evident in the time and energy they put in each and every day! Many have operated their businesses for many years and are easily able to share stories of the ever-changing face of Downtown Belleville.
The community of downtown Belleville is eclectic and holds a certain charm! The core boasts some of the best restaurants in the area! Whatever your culinary taste, you can find it downtown; sushi, steak & seafood, Italian, and the list goes on!
At this point I will confess my love of shopping. I love the hunt for beautiful and unusual items! I thoroughly enjoy poking around unique spaces for that 'one-of-kind' gem! More than any other place in town you can do the 'treasure hunt' thing in Downtown Belleville! Shops such as Fusion, Rolufs, Funk n Gruven, That Special Touch, The Tenth Ox, Bedded Bliss, The Kitchen Shop, Canasia, Greenlys Book Store, La Maison d'Eva, Mystical Moments, A Place to Perch, the Quinte Arts Council and L'Auberge de France are just some of the places that house beautiful items and gifts that you just can't find anywhere else in town! Not to forget the beautiful flower shops down here such as Dustins and Barbers Flowers!
This holiday season, I encourage you to stop downtown Belleville, take advantage of the extended/free parking and poke around the unique spaces and shops on Front and Pinnacle. The merchants and those on your gift giving list will love that you did!
